Your Guide to Broadway Market

Broadway Market is a five-minute wander from the taproom, and if you’re spending a Saturday in Hackney, it’s the obvious place to start. Stalls open early with fresh produce, bread, cheese, and enough street food to make deciding where to eat the hardest part of your day.

We tell our regulars to go for the market first and the pints after. Walk it end to end, grab a coffee, pick up something for the week, and then head back to Westgate Street when you’re ready to sit down properly. It’s a nice loop, and one a lot of our afternoon crowd does most weekends.

Look out for the cheese stalls, the fresh pasta counter, and whichever bakery has the shortest queue that week — that’s usually the tell for what’s best that day. If you time it right and the weather holds, London Fields is a two-minute walk further on, which makes for an easy full afternoon before last orders.

Come by afterwards, we’re open from midday on weekends, and a Broadway Market haul pairs well with a pint in the beer garden.
