the menu

beer, cocktails and a proper wine list, poured under a railway arch in hackney, five minutes’ walk from london fields. our own brewery is still being built in the third arch, so until it’s brewing we’re filling the lines with uk breweries we’ve loved drinking through years in craft beer: pillars, pretty decent, o’hara’s, vault city and red fin.

there are seven beers and ciders on draught, pints run from £5 to £7.50, and the bar is always happy to pour you a taster before you decide.

on the beer board right now: pillars haus lager and pillars pilsner, pretty decent session ipa and their gluten-free pale, o’hara’s nitro irish stout, a vault city sour and red fin cider. if you’re after a gluten-free beer in hackney, the pretty decent gf pale is always on tap. stout drinkers get o’hara’s poured on nitro for a proper creamy head, and if beer isn’t your thing, the sour and the cider are both on draught too.

we pour 12 wines by the glass and the bottle, covering sparkling, white, rosé, orange and red, with a 125ml glass from £4.90 and bottles from £27. five of them are organic: the chichibio pecorino, ad libitum tempranillo blanco, augustine rosé, colline delle rose nero d’avola and thronos nemea agiorgitiko.

for prosecco there’s adalina at £6.30 a glass or £27 a bottle, or axilu at £9 a glass or £38.65 a bottle. orange wine is harder to find in hackney than it should be, so we keep vu de loin on by the glass, from £5.75 for 125ml.
